Pantelis Thalassinos is a prominent Greek singer-songwriter whose music blends contemporary laïkó with folk traditions. Raised in Chios, he began playing guitar at age seven and launched his musical career in the late 1970s while working in shipping. He rose to recognition as a co-founder of the influential group Lathrepivates in 1986, and since going solo in 1993, has released numerous albums—including Pes Mou Paramythia, Stigma, and more—totaling six solo records and featuring on over 30 projects. Thalassinos is celebrated for his heartfelt performances of songs like “Siopes” and “Stou Erota Tis Thalasses,” and remains active on stage, often collaborating with other Greek artists.
Nana Binopoulou is a gifted Greek vocalist known for her expressive voice and interpretive depth, and she has frequently partnered with Thalassinos—most notably performing together on tracks like “Pes mou mia lexi” and “To parti,” both of which can be found on YouTube. Their musical chemistry extends to live concerts; for instance, Binopoulou shared the stage with Thalassinos during a 2007 performance at Thessaloniki Concert Hall, and she also appears alongside him and his daughter Phaedra on the acclaimed album Na ’tan o polemos choros. Together, they have forged a compelling duet dynamic, melding Thalassinos’s emotive guitar-anchored style with Binopoulou’s soulful vocal timbre
